A Few Must-See Sights

Jackson Hole is the only destination in America that is both a national park gateway and a major winter resort. There’s plenty to see here, and, once again, the ranch’s Director of Outdoor Pursuits can assist you in planning your adventure. Here are some local points of interest:

Yellowstone National Park is a scenic, one-hour drive from 3 Creek Ranch. America’s first national park, this hotbed of geothermal activity is home to legendary geyser Old Faithful, plus other geysers, hot pools and mud pots. For wildlife viewing, the park is home to black bears, moose and about 4,000 bison.

Grand Teton National Park, a half-hour drive from 3 Creek Ranch, offers stunning mountain scenery and a diverse array of wildlife. The Teton Range dominates the park’s skyline, rising over 7,000 feet above the valley floor.

The National Elk Refuge is located just north of Jackson, and is home to more than 7,500 elk from October until May. Horse-drawn sleigh tours are a popular way to experience an up-close, personal view of the animals.

The National Museum of Wildlife Art overlooks the National Elk Refuge. With 2,300 pieces of art on display, it’s the world’s premier wildlife art collection.
